Philippians 3:10

“That I may know Him, and the power  of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.”

There arent many verses that are direct as to what the Christian quest looks like. Paul; makes this very clear in this passage. Although he isnt saying “do this, or walk circumspectly,” its clear as to what he is directing from his own experience. Know him, or Christ above All. Find righteousness in Christ, seek the power of His resurrection, participate in the sufferings of Christ, and be obedient to the father untill death.
So what does all this mean? When we become one with Christ, by trusting and having faith in Him, something incredible happens. We begin to get a glimpse of what was sacrificed for us at calvary. We begin to experience the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Paul says know Him, and experience His love. Know him, and see that same power of the resurrection transform and resurrect you. Know Him and experience His sufferings. Know Him and watch your life be molded unto His death!
Paul speaks with such confidence. “Accept Christ and this WILL happen. It's happened to me.” Can our lives speak of such a resurrection? Can we say we have suffered as Christ has suffered? Can we boldly proclaim our lives being made conformable unto His death? If not, then something may be missing: fellowship with the father.
There isn't much to say but Christ suffered, Christ died, and Christ resurrected! One who is in constant fellowship with the father knows that there is power in all three of these. The sacrifice that Christ made was for our eternal glory.
